Braving the Storm
Crimson Ridge #2
by Elliott Rose
Book one was already one of my favorite cowboy romances… and this one climbed right up there with it.
Elliott Rose turned up the heat in this installment, and between the engaging plot and the insane chemistry between our MCs, I couldn’t put it down. I read 75% in one afternoon and could not wait to get back to it.
Cabin in the woods.
Ex-pro bull rider.
She helps him sleep
Hand necklaces
Spicy lessons
Age Gap (14y)
Lots of yearning
Forbidden love
Adopted uncle / estranged niece
Family ties that should make this off limits.
And tension so thick it could suffocate you.
Stôrmand is broody, intense, and absolutely gone for Briar, even when he knows he shouldn’t be. And Briar? Watching her step into her own power, away from the control of her family, made the story hit even harder.
The yearning in this book? Top tier.
“At this point, I’m surviving on sheer willpower alone to not start getting h*rd every time she’s within breathing distance.”
“The man I can’t bring myself to stop craving, who is just down the hall, is one I cannot ever have.”
“She’s my perfect forbidden fantasy.”
This is angsty, hot, addictive, forbidden, kinky and beautifully written. The longing, the restraint, the constant push and pull, it all just works.I am fully invested in this series and cannot wait for the next book in Crimson Ridge.
